The Staff Selection Commission is expected to conduct the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam from August 13 to 30, 2025. The Commission is yet to release the official examination schedule for the SSC CGL 2025 exam. There are apprehensions among the candidates about whether the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam 2025 will be postponed. Read below to get all the possibilities.

SSC CGL Exam Dates Soon

SSC CGL Exam Dates Soon at ssc.gov.in: The Staff Selection Commission is expected to release the SSC CGL 2025 exam schedule soon on its official website – ssc.gov.on. The Commission released the SSC CGL exam dates (tentative) in its exam calendar. The Commission mentioned that the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam 2025 will start on August 13 and end on August 30, 2025.

One important point that the candidates should not miss is that the Union Public Service Commission will conduct the UPSC CSE (IAS) Main exam 2025 from August 22 onwards. Either the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam will not be conducted on those days and extend the SSC CGL exam window further from August 30, because the UPSC Civil Service (IAS) main exam will be conducted on August 22, 23, 24, 30 and 31.

The other way around is that the candidates appearing in the UPSC CSE main exam can request the Commission to take their exam after August 31 and the Commission can arrange to accommodate such candidates on September 1 onwards based on the availability of exam centre.

The Commission releases the exam schedule for all the exams to confirm the final exam dates. The Commission can change the SSC exam dates in this exam schedule. Recently, the Commission released the exam schedule for the SSC Combined Hindi translator and Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination, 2025 to reiterate and confirm the exam dates.

The SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 exam will be conducted online as a Computer-Based Exam(CBE). The candidates will be required to mark their answers on the screen. The candidates are advised to practice with the previous year question papers to score better in the SSC CGL exam.
