The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has ruled out the cancellation of its recent recruitment exams despite allegations of irregularities and technical glitches. However, a retest may be conducted for candidates who were genuinely affected, SSC Chairman Braj Raj Sharma has said.

As reported by the Times of India, Sharma clarified that the Commission is actively reviewing complaints and examining the possibility of re-examination for impacted candidates. “There is no question of cancelling the entire exam. The issue seems limited to specific centres, and we are assessing the extent of the problem,” he stated.

The SSC Chairman added that detailed reports from exam centres have been sought and a high-level committee is investigating the matter. Based on its findings, the Commission will decide the future course of action.

The exam faced backlash from several aspirants who alleged malpractices, paper leaks, and server failures during the Computer-Based Tests (CBTs). Many demanded the cancellation of the entire exam and a fresh schedule. However, the Commission reiterated that any irregularities appear localised and mass cancellation would be unfair to genuine candidates who appeared without any disruption.

A final decision on the retest for affected students is expected soon, SSC officials indicated.
