SSC, Railway Officials Meet Aspirants Over Exam Issues; Final Decision Expected in a Week

Neetu Singh confirms SSC-Railway meeting over exam mismanagement. Authorities promise update in a week as August exam dates are released and protests continue.
Educationist Neetu Singh has confirmed that officials from the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and Indian Railways held a detailed meeting with student representatives to address rising concerns over exam mismanagement, poor infrastructure, and centre-related issues. She said the authorities listened attentively and assured the delegation that a follow-up meeting will be held within a week to provide concrete responses.
โAll the problems of SSC and Railway were discussed point-by-point. They took everything in writing and said they will meet again in a week after internal discussions,โ Neetu Singh said in a video message shared online. She added that the delegation also urged SSC to delay the Stenographer and CGL exams if proper infrastructure isn't in place, so that no candidate suffers due to logistical failures.
Singh emphasised that the officials were receptive and acknowledged the seriousness of the issues, especially with major exams just around the corner. โWe asked them to take immediate steps for the upcoming exams if the situation remains unprepared. They have promised to consult the SSC Chairman and get back,โ she said.
SSC Releases August 2025 Exam Dates Amid Ongoing Protests
Even as the student delegation raised concerns over mismanagement, the SSC officially released its August 2025 exam calendar today. The announcement includes dates for key exams:
Stenographer Grade C & D (CBE): August 6โ11, 2025
Hindi Translator (CHT) Paper-I: August 12, 2025
SSC CGL Tier-I: August 13โ30, 2025
The move brings clarity on timelines, but aspirants on social media expressed disappointment, saying the Commission failed to address repeated disruptions faced during the Selection Post Phase XIII exams held last week. Many are demanding exam postponement until a transparent and well-managed process is ensured.
Background: Why Aspirants Are Upset
Hashtags like #SSCMisManagement and #ReformSSC continue to trend, with lakhs of aspirants calling out:
Sudden exam centre changes
Poor coordination at exam venues
Delayed admit cards and last-minute alerts
Harsh treatment by centre staff
These concerns triggered peaceful protests at Jantar Mantar and near CGO Complex in Delhi under the โDelhi Chaloโ banner, with students and coaching leaders urging reforms in the examination system.
Singh appealed to aspirants to remain united and patient. โWeโve done our part. Now we have to wait for one more week. They have promised to review all the concerns and return with a solution,โ she said.
