SSC GD DME and RME 2020 have been postponed by Staff Selection Commission due to the ongoing Corona Virus pandemic. Check details below.

SSC GD DME postponed

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has postponed the SSC GD Constable Detailed Medical Exam (DME) that was scheduled to be held from March 26 to April 7. The commission has also postponed the SSC GD Constable Review Medical Exam (RME) that was scheduled to be held from March 24 to April 30. The exams have been postponed considering the ongoing Corona Virus pandemic.

The official notification released by the commission reads, β€œi. Postponement of the Review Medical Examination (RME) in respect of candidates of Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2018, which was scheduled to be held from 24.03.2020 to 30.04.2020.

ii. Postponement of the Detailed Medical Examination (DME) in respect of 1,723 candidates of Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2018, which was scheduled to be held from 26.03.2020 to 07.04.2020.”

The SSC GD Constable exam is conducted to recruit candidates for the posts of Constable (General Duty) in the following forces:

  • Border Security Force (BSF)
  • Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
  • Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
  • Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
  • Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)
  • National Investigation Agency (NIA)
  • Secretariat Security Force (SSF)
  • Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles
