Three AMU Coaching Academy students qualify Civil Services examination

Two students are Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) graduates, while one has completed her MBA from the AMU.

Three students of the Residential Coaching Academy (RCA), Aligarh Muslim University have qualified for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination 2020. Two students are Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) graduates, while one has completed her MBA from the AMU.

The successful students include Dr Bushara Bano (MBA, PhD in Management, AMU, Rank-234), Altamash Ghazi (B. Tech., IIT, BHU, Rank-282) and Arun Kumar Singh (XII from AMU, B. Tech., Jaipur, Rank-554).

The UPSC announced Civil Services Result 2020 on September 24. A total of 761 candidates were selected against the 836 vacancies. Shubham Kumar from Katihar, Bihar has topped the Civil Service Exam 2020, while Jagrati Awasthi from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh stood second in the exam. Ankita Jain from Agra, Uttar Pradesh has been ranked third in the exam.

AMU Vice-Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor has congratulated these students for their remarkable success in the elite examination and hoped they will serve the nation with dedication, integrity and commitment towards general public welfare.

Prof Mansoor wrote on Twitter: โ€œHeartiest congratulations to Dr. Bushra, Altamash, Arun Kumar Singh & AMU Academy for the resounding success in UPSC Civil Services Exam. Your hard work through the pandemic hardship will inspire many. You will be an asset to India with your spirit of public welfare.โ€

Free UPSC Coaching by AMU

Prof Imran Saleem, Director, of the RCA, said that three students qualified for the Civil Services Examination in 2012, two in 2014, one in 2016 and two in 2018.

Prof Saleem also informed that the RCA has announced an online application for free coaching and guidance for Civil Services / Judicial Services / SSC-CGL coaching programmes with a limited number of scholarships to meritorious and needy students.

Interested students can apply online for admission to RCA by October 15, 2021, through https://oaps.amucontrollerexams.com. Detailed information in this regard is available on the RCA website http://www.amu.ac.in/academies/residential-coaching-academy, he added.
