As per the media reports, the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission will release the TNPSC Group 2 notification 2019 very soon for the candidates. The TNPSC Group 2 online application will start soon after the notification. This year’s TNPSC Group 2 notification is very important because it will notify the new syllabus and exam pattern for the TNPSC Group 2 exam. The TNPSC Group 2 exam recruits the candidates for various important state services. As per the exam calendar of the TNPSC, the Group 2 notification should release soon as the previous recruitment is in its last stages.

Recently, TNPSC had invited feedback from the candidates about the changed pattern of the TNPSC Group 2 exam. The commission will now analyse the feedback of the candidates and proceed further accordingly.

The survey conducted by the commission was a mixed bag of personal questions and feedback questions. TNPSC asked candidates about their background, educational qualifications and their present employment status.

TNPSC Group 2 exam questionnaire was related to the language papers of the TNPSC exams. The interview questionnaire was to know the importance and relevance of the language paper in the TNPSC recruitment exams.

Through this survey, the commission wanted to estimate the impact of change syllabus and exam pattern. Now, Tamil questions have been included in the written examination instead of the optional General Tamil paper. The commission is claiming that only those candidates having a basic understanding of reading and writing the Tamil language could pass the exam now.

New Syllabus of TNPSC Group 2/Group 2A Exam

Recently, the commission introduced changes in the TNPSC Group 2 exam. New exam pattern dropped the General English and General Tamil papers from the TNPSC Group 2 preliminary exam. The commission has also published the model question papers based on the TNPSC Group 2 new syllabus and exam pattern.

In TNPSC Group 2 main exam, four questions, Tamil to English and English to Tamil translation, are introduced to examine the knowledge of Tamil language of candidates. 

The TNPSC Group 2 notification will provide details about the important dates, stage of examination, application fees and the number of vacancies.
