National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to release the provisional answer key of the merged UGC NET December 2020 and June 2021 cycles anytime soon. The UGC NET 2021 exam was conducted online from November 20, 2021, to January 5, 2022. The exam was conducted in two phases for a total of 81 subjects.

Though the release date of the UGC NET answer key and result events have not been officially announced yet, it is most likely that the provisional answer key will be released by the end of January 2022. Candidates will get around five days to submit their representations against the answer key if they find any answer or question incorrect or faulty.

NTA UGC NET exam comprises two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both papers are conducted in a combined single session of three hours. The UGC NET Paper 1 contains 50 MCQs and Paper 2 carries 100 MCQs. Each question is of two marks. There is no negative marking for wrong answers in the examination.

The UGC NET result 2021-22 will be announced using the normalisation method. As per the policy of the UGC, six per cent of the candidates who appear in both papers and obtain minimum qualifying marks in aggregate are declared qualified in the exam.
