UGC NET 2025 Day 3 Exam: National Testing Agency is conducting exam of UGC NET for December cycle today, January 3. Candidates must note that UGC NET 2025 is being held in two shifts for a total of 14 subjects. Those appearing for UGC NET must know their shift timings and other important exam day guidelines. 

UGC NET 2025 shift 1 is being conducted for Commerce, Sanskrit, Santali, Criminology, Political Science (International Relations/ Strategic Studies), Disaster Management and Museology & Conservation. UGC NET Dec shift 2 is held for Geography, Education, Folk Literature, Maithili, Comparative Study of Religions, Indian Culture and Persian. 

UGC NET 2025 Dec Shift Timings

UGC NET exam is held in two shifts each day:

  • Shift 1: 9 AM to 12 PM
  • Shift 2: 3 to 6 PM

Important Guidelines for Candidates Appearing for UGC NET 2025 December Session 

Check important guidelines below 

  • Carry printed copy of UGC NET admit card and valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card, PAN card, Passport, etc.)
  • Late entry to exam hall is strictly prohibited. Candidates are advised to reach centre at least 60 minutes earlier
  • Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, and other electronic gadgets are not allowed inside exam hall
  • Each paper consists of two parts: Paper I and Paper II, both conducted in a single sitting of three hours. There is no break between the two papers.
