UGC NET Day 5 Dec Exam 2025 Today; Check Shift-Wise Subjects & Dress Code
UGC NET 2025 Day 5 shift 1 exam is being held from 9 AM to 12 PM for 8 subjects. Whereas, shift 2 is being conducted from 3 to 6 PM. Candidates appearing for exam must carry their UGC NET admit card and check dress code here
UGC NET Day 5 Exam: National Testing Agency is conducting UGC NET 2025 exam for 16 subjects today, January 6, 2026. As per schedule released, UGC NET Dec exam is being held for these subjects Political Science, Defence & Strategic Studies, Arab Culture, Hindu Studies, Nepali, Comparative Literature, Japanese, Sindhi, Hindi, Tamil, Mass Communication, Kannada, Malayalam, Manipuri, Indian Knowledge Systems and German. UGC NET day 5 exam is being held in 2 shifts.
Candidates with no UGC NET admit card will not be permitted to appear for exam under any circumstances. They also need to carry any one photo ID card for verification. UGC NET 2025 is held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

UGC NET 2025 Dress Code
There has been no update about dress code in UGC NET Dec notification 2025. However, when appearing for exam candidates must follow this UGC NET dress code guidelines
- Opt for simple clothing. It should not have any metal accessories
- Avoid outfits with pockets or heavy embroidery
- Avoid footwear with thick soles
- Do not wear any jewellery, smart watches, or electronic accessories
The NTA released the UGC NET 2025 exam schedule for the December session at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. On December 31 was the first exam in the first shift from 9 am to 12 pm. Subjects are listed below:
