UP Teacher Recruitment 2020: Counselling to begin tomorrow & appointment letters to be issued on Oct 16
UP Teacher Recruitment 2020 counselling process will begin from tomorrow. Shortlisted candidates will be handed over appointment letters on October 16. Check details.
The Uttar Pradesh Government has released the list of 31,277 candidates who have been shortlisted for the post of Assistant Teachers in government schools in the state. The authorities will commence the UP Teacher Recruitment counselling process tomorrow, October 14. The counselling process will end on October 15. After verifying all the documents, all the shortlisted candidates will be issued appointment letters on October 16.
Candidates are recommended to carry all original documents with two sets of self-attested copies and four passport-size photos at the time of counselling. The counselling will be conducted by the District Basic Education Officer.

Of the total 31,277 shortlisted candidates, 15,933 belong to general category, 8,513 belong to Other Backward Class (OBC), 6,615 belong to Scheduled Caste (SC) and 216 belong to Scheduled Tribe (ST).
On January 7, 2019, the authorities revised the passing criteria for UP Teacher Recruitment exam to 65 per cent for general category candidates and 60 per cent for reserved category candidates. Students took the matter to the court and the verdict was passed in favour of students. In the verdict, the passing criteria was revised again to 45 per cent for general category candidates and 40 per cent for reserved category candidates.
