Union Public Service Commission has postponed the Combined Medical Services (CMS) examination 2020 notification. The UPSC issued a notice to postpone the UPSC CMS 2020 notification to July 29. The UPSC has assigned no reason for postponing the UPSC CMS 2020 notification. UPSC CMS 2020 notification was scheduled to be released on July 22.

Health is a state subject and the Union government only operates some specialised medical institution such as AIIMS. But the number of UPSC CMS vacancies is not fewer, and they are always good in numbers. The UPSC CMS exam is a specialised service exam conducted to recruit doctors for the railway hospitals and government hospitals in New Delhi. UPSC conducts the CMS exam every year across the nation at the designated centres.

The UPSC CMS exam is very elite as the minimum eligibility for this exam is the MBBS degree course. It implies that only qualified doctors can appear in the exam. The candidates, in their last year of MBBS degree, can also appear in the exam.

The UPSC CMS exam is conducted in two stages–the written exam and the personality test. The UPSC CMS 2020 written exam will be conducted on October 22, as per the new UPSC exam calendar. The UPSC CMS written exam is conducted in the following way.
