UPSC EPFO Recruitment 2020-21: Exam centre change option activated

UPSC EPFO recruitment 2020 is delayed by a year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Union Public Service Commission released the new exam dates for the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) 2020 exam. The UPSC has issued a notice for the candidates that they can change their examination centre in the view of coronavirus pandemic. The UPSC also mentioned that Jaipur and Kolkata exam centres are full to their capacity. The UPSC EPFO exam 2020 will be conducted on May 9, 2021.

UPSC has increased the number of exam centres to 72. Because of the above and the request received from the candidates, UPSC is providing the opportunity to change the exam centre for the UPSC EPFO 2020 Exam. The UPSC will re-open the application window from December 15 to 21 in the first phase. The UPSC exam centres will be allotted on the first apply first allot basis. In the first phase, 49 centres will be open for the candidates.

The second phase will be opened from December 29, 2020 to January 4, 2021 after adjusting the choices exercised by the candidates in the first phase. The exam centre will not be available once it exceeds its total capacity. The candidates need to opt for the other nearest centre in case their first choice is not available.

The UPSC EPFO 2020 recruitment notification was released on January 1, 2020 for 421 vacancies of Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer. The exam was scheduled to be conducted on October 4 but because of the coronavirus pandemic, the UPSC postponed the UPSC EPFO 2020 exam.
