The Union Public Service Commission has released new exam dates for the remaining IAS interviews of 2019. The UPSC IAS interview 2019 will commence from July 20. The UPSC will intimate the candidates regarding their IAS personality test details.

The IAS interview 2019 was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic and the candidates were waiting for the new IAS interview dates. The IAS interview is the last stage of the IAS exam. It is the toughest part of the IAS selection process because there is no defined IAS syllabus for the personality test.

IAS personality test carries 275 marks. The UPSC interview board members are the experts in their own fields and expect the candidate, to be honest in his/her answers. There is no harm in saying ”I don’t know, sir”. They expect respect from the candidates as they are far more experienced and older than the candidates.

The IAS result will be declared after the completion of the IAS interview 2019. There is a high probability of getting selected in the IAS exam because the number of candidates is twice the number of seats in the IAS interview.

The IAS interview is meant to test the suitability of the candidates for the civil services in India. The IAS interview is conducted in the UPSC office premises and the candidates need to travel from their place to New Delhi. Most of the candidates come from their native place and this will be very difficult for them to travel from their place to UPSC officer through train, bus or aeroplane.
