UPSC IES Exam 2020 application closing today at 6 PM: Apply now
The online application for the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) Engineering Services 2020 had closed on October 15,2019. UPSC conducts the Engineering Services exam each year to recruit the candidates for various engineering personal requirements across various departments in the Union government offices. Now ,for the Engineering Services Exam 2020, the application withdrawal facility will commense soon. The Engineering Services exam application was commenced on September 25, 2019.
The exam is conducted for four categories given as follows:
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
The Engineering Service Application withdrawal facility will be opened within a week of the application end date(October 15) and the facility will be available for one week. The withdrawal facility will open from October 22 till October 28, 2019. UPSC had issued the official Engineering Services 2020 notification for 495 vacancies on September 25, 2019 on its official website.The candidates who wish to withdraw their application will be benefitted with this facility and can withdraw their application within the stipulated time.
The eligibility conditions for the Engineering Services exam is the Engineering Degree in the given discipline as mentioned in the official notification. To apply for this examination, a candidate must attend the age of 21 years and must not exceed 30 years of age.
Engineering Services exam consist of three stages i.e. Preliminary stage, Main Stage and interview stage. To qualify in the Engineering Services exam, a candidate must pass all the stages and overcome the exam cut off of each stage.
The Engineering Services exam pattern shows that the Preliminary exam will be conducted across the nation at 42 centres. The Engineering services preliminary exam will be conducted on January 5, 2020. In the Preliminary Exam, there will be two objective type question papers carrying a maximum of 500 marks (paper I – 200 marks and paper II- 300 marks). There will be a negative marking of 1/3 in the Engineering services preliminary exam.
