UPSC Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service final result 2019 declared
A total of 64 candidates, 32 in each of the services have qualified the UPSC IES/ ISS exam 2019.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final results of the Indian Economic Service (IES)/ Indian Statistical Service (ISS) exam 2019 on its official website. A total of 64 candidates, 32 in each of the services have qualified the UPSC IES/ ISS exam 2019. The results have been decided on the basis of the written examination which was held in June 2019 followed by a personality test in December 2019 and January 2020. The final merit list has been published on the official website of the Commission.
The Commission, this year, has announced 32 vacancies for various posts under the UPSC IES while 33 vacancies were announced for the UPSC ISS Exam. The vacancy number has increased by 41% against the last year. In 2018, as many as 46 candidates were declared to be eligible for the UPSC IES/ISS services.
The Indian Economic Service is taken by Economics postgraduates. All the candidates with a postgraduate degree in Applied Economics, Econometrics, and Business Economics may appear for the UPSC IES exam.

As per the official notification, “The offer of the appointment to the candidates whose result has been kept provisional will not be issued till the Commission verifies the original documents awaited from such candidates.” The notification also read that the provisionality of these candidates will remain valid only for a period of three months from the date of declaration of the final results.
