UPSC released a helpline number for the reserve category candidates. See the details and the availability of the helpline.

UPSC has released a helpline number for the candidates to solve their queries related to the present and future applications. The UPSC helpline is a toll-free number -1800118711. The helpline is released for the SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD candidates. There is no mention of the general category candidates. The helpline will assist the candidates belonging to these categories for the application in the ongoing recruitments and the future recruitments.

This helpline will remain in operation on all working days during office hours. It means that the helpline will remain open from Monday to Friday. This initiative was taken to help the candidates to give them correct information officially.

This helpline is one of the initiatives to make the Commission more candidate friendly. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is the premier recruitment agency of India having the status of attached office to the government of India. Before the release of this helpline, the only source of authentic information related to any of the notifications or the application process was the official notification. The telephone number provided on the official website was busy most of the time or not picked most of the time.

The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Schedule Tribe (ST)/ Other Backward Classes (OBC)/ Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) can use this helpline to take guidance regarding any of the exams conducted by UPSC. The candidates can seek help regarding any of the ongoing applications or regarding any other query related to the exam, eligibility, application process, admit card, result and cutoff.
