UPTET Paper Leak: Exam in December 2021, new date soon; candidates to get free bus service

UPTET 2021 exam is now scheduled to be held in December. The new exam date will be announced soon.

Uttar Pradesh Government will soon announce the new exam date of the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2021. The exam is now scheduled to be held in December 2021, as per the tweet of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The UPTET exam was earlier scheduled to be held on November 28, 2021. However, the exam was cancelled by the State Government due to the paper leak.

Candidates will not be required to pay additional fees to appear for the UPTET 2021 exam. Moreover, candidates will be given the free bus service of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTCHQ) to reach the exam centres. The UPTET examination is conducted by the Exam Regulatory Authority to determine the eligibility of candidates as Classes 1 to 8 teachers in the state schools. Candidates who want to teach Classes 1 to 5 appear for Paper 1 and those who want to teach Classes 6 to 8 appear for Paper 2. Candidates who want to teach Classes 1 to 8 appear for both papers.

UPTET qualifying candidates are awarded the eligibility certificate. Candidates need the UPTET certificate to apply for the teaching jobs. The certificate is valid for a lifetime.
