School bells have started ringing again and we are moving towards normalcy, said Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
While addressing students before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's interaction with them during 'Pariksha Pe Charcha', Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that school bells have started ringing again, reflecting a move toward normalcy after prolonged closures of schools due to COVID-19.
"School bells have started ringing again and we are moving towards normalcy," he said.
Schools across India were closed since the onset of Covid-19 in 2020 before the nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of the deadly virus.
Before the devastating second wave in India in April 2021, schools in several states reopened briefly.
While schools reopened in phases, the hybrid mode of classes -- online and offline -- became the preferred approach and students were allowed to attend classes in schools only with their parents' consent. However, from April, schools in the majority of states are going completely offline.
Students should not get stressed about exams: PM Modi
PM Modi during Pariksha Pe Charcha 2022 has asked students not to get stressed about the exams as they have successfully overcome exams earlier and also asked parents and teachers not to impose their unfulfilled dreams and aspiration on children.
"Technology is not a bane and should be used effectively," said PM Modi.
"Exams give stress to everyone. We all study but self-confidence is needed. 'Chalo Jeetein Hum' is a movie on YouTube, please watch it as it talks about our PM's student days," Pradhan said.
