CUSB Special PhD Admission Drive for SC / ST Candidates; Interested candidates can apply until 26 November 2025.

Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) has introduced a special PhD admission round exclusively for SC, ST, and PwD candidates for the 2025–26 academic year. The university has designated a total of 80 seats for this drive, 39 for SC, 27 for ST, and 14 for PwD, spread across 19 doctoral programmes.

This special drive invites eligible SC and ST candidates to apply for admission. CUSB notification states, “Applications are invited from candidates belonging to SC and ST categories for admission to Ph.D. programmes under a special admission drive for the academic year 2025–26.”

An important eligibility requirement is that applicants must have qualified national level tests (NET or JRF) after June 2024. CUSB notification clarifies, “Candidates who obtained NET qualification prior to June 2024 shall not be considered.”

University will evaluate applications based on merit drawn from these national exam scores, and may conduct interviews if number of applications warrants it.

Interested candidates can apply until 26 November 2025. Varsity’s drive is designed to ensure that reserved doctoral seats do not remain vacant.
