Galgotias University and Felix Hospital have signed an MoU to Advance Clinical Education and Healthcare Training in Noida. This new partnership offers medical students clinical internships and practical training. Read further to know more.
Galgotias University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Felix Hospital. This partnership will help students get practical medical education. The project is focused on students at the School of Allied Health Sciences and the School of Nursing. Felix Hospital operates two multispecialty branches in Greater Noida. Together, these healthcare facilities have a total capacity of 400 beds. Students will understand how real hospitals handle patient care and safety rules.
Better Practical Classes for Nursing and Allied Health
This collaboration aims to expand clinical education in India for several departments. Students will practice skills for the four-year B.Sc. Nursing programme. This course is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council. Nursing students will move from campus simulation labs directly to real hospital locations. Additionally, the School of Allied Health Sciences will benefit from this collaboration. Students from multiple specialised streams will train at the hospital. These streams include:
* Physiotherapy
* Cardiovascular Therapy
* Medical Laboratory Sciences
* Optometry
* Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology
University CEO Dr. Dhruv Galgotia stated that classroom learning must meet the realities of patient care. Students will work under experienced doctors and technologists to build better clinical skills. Galgotias University recently upgraded the Community Health Centre at Dadha, Greater Noida, in coordination with the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Gautam Buddha Nagar. The aim was to strengthen its physiotherapy and rehabilitation unit with modern therapy equipment.
