IIT JAM 2026 Counselling Begins, Apply at JOAPS Portal

IIT JAM 2026 Counselling: Indian Institute of Technology Bombay has activated IIT JAM 2026 counselling application form online from today. Candidates qualified must visit official JOAPS portal: jam2026.iitb.ac.in or joaps.iitb.ac.in/login to complete their IIT JAM counselling application 2026. As per schedule released, they need to complete IIT JAM 2026 counselling registration is April 15. 

Last date for freezing choices of IIT JAM by applicants is May 6, 2026. Further, first IIT JAM admission list will be released on May 25, 2026. Only those who have obtained qualifying cutoff marks or more than that in their respective category will be eligible to participate in IIT JAM counselling 2026. 

How to Register for IIT JAM Counselling 2026 Application?

• Go to official website jam2026.iitb.ac.in
• Click on JOAPS portal 
• Login with Enrollment ID/Email Address and Password
• Pay requisite fee 
• Enter preferences for MSc programs and IITs
• Submit and save it

After IIT JAM counselling registration 2026, the next step will be seat allocation. IIT JAM 2026 seat allocation will be based on AIR and preferences. After that, they have to choose either to accept & freeze, accept with upgrade, or reject & quit. They also need to pay booking fee of INR 15,000 for GEN/OBC, or INR 5,000 for SC/ST/PwD.

• IIT JAM Application Form
• IIT JAM Admit Card
• Provisional seat allotment/ offer letter  
• Class 10 Certificate
• Class 12 Mark sheet
• Mark sheets of all semesters/ years of the qualifying degree
• Birth Certificate, Voter ID, First page of Passport, School Transfer Certificate (TC) showing nationality
• Aadhar Card
• Category Certificate, if applicable 
• PwD Certificate for PwD applicants
