IIT JAM 2027 Updates: Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has announced schedule for Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT JAM) 2027. This time, IIT Kharagpur is Organising Institute for JAM 2027. As per recent updates, IIT JAM 2027 official website has also been launched.Â
Candidates can check jam.iitkgp.ac.in to get IIT JAM 2027 updates. As per dates released, IIT JAM information brochure will be released on August 22, 2026. Also, online IIT JAM registration will commence on September 5, 2026.Â

IIT JAM 2027 Registration to begin September 5
Candidates planning to appear for IIT JAM 2027 can submit their application forms from September 5, 2026. IIT JAM registration 2027 window is scheduled to remain open until October 12, 2026. It must be noted that application form can be filled online through JAM admission system. They must complete registration, enter academic and personal details, upload documents and pay applicable IIT JAM exam fee before submitting application form.Â

A score above 75 is considered a good score. 75 marks will help to obtain a rank between 1 and 80. This mark will help to get admission to IIT JAM participating institutes.
The difficulty level of IIT JAM is moderate to tough. The difficulty level for subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics is tougher as compared to the IIT JAM subjects of Economics, Biotechnology and Geology.
If we compare the difficulty level of IIT JAM examination with CUET PG exam, ISI Admission test, NEST exam, IISER Entrance examination, then it will be found that IIT JAM examination is comparetively tougher than the other top colleges/ universities entrance examination.
Physics is one of the most sought course of choice among students who want to take admission in IITs, IISc, etc. It is for this reason alone that IIT JAM Physics paper is extremely competitive.
