Patna University Admission 2022: Patna University (PU) will conduct the Patna University (PU) PhD Admission Test (PAT) 2022 on February 25, 2023. Candidates will be holding the entrance test after a gap of more than four years.

The last date for the online submission of the applications is on or before January 28. Candidates can go to the official website; i.e. pup.ac.in to apply. Patna University will be conducting the entrance test for 28 subjects, including Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Maithili, Arabic, Persian, philosophy, music, Urdu (humanities), history, political science, home science, ancient Indian history and archaeology, sociology, economics, psychology, personnel management and industrial relations, geography (social science), physics, chemistry, zoology, botany, geology, mathematics, statistics (faculty of science), commerce, law and education.

PAT 2022: Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should have a Master’s Degree with at least 55 per cent marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-Point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
  • A relaxation of 5 per cent marks from 55 per cent to 50 per cent or an equivalent relaxation of grade will be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/EBC/BC/Differently abled categories of candidates
  • A candidate will ordinarily be permitted to pursue research for the PhD. degree in the subject in which he/she holds Master’s degree
  • Selection will be made through entrance test and interview
