TIFR GS 2026 Exam Concluded: Check out Expected Result, Cutoff and More
TIFR GS 2026 Exam concluded successfully today on December 14, 2025. Those students who appeared for the exam should go through the TIFR GS Result date, which is expected to be released in February 2026. Also, the TIFR GS Answer key will be released in January 2026. The TIFR GS Entrance Exam is over for the academic session 2026-27. The exam was held in two shifts today, on December 14, 2025. The first shift was held between 9:00 am to 11:00 am, and the afternoon shift was held between 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Students who wish to get admission to 5-year integrated MSc courses and PhD programmes gave the TIFR GS exam. The TIFR GS Answer key will be announced in January 2026, tentatively. The answer key is helpful for students to raise objections within the given time.
The TIFR GS Result 2026 is tentative to be announced on the official portal in February 2026.
TIFR GS 2026 Expected Cutoff
Here is the expected cutoff for students who gave the TIFR GS exam.
- Looking at the previous trends, the cutoff for General category students can go up to 50 per cent, and the OBC category cutoff can go up to 45 per cent and 35 per cent for ST.
- The cutoff of this year can vary based on the marks achieved by the students and other reasons.

TIFR GS 2026 Interview dates will be out on the official portal. Students need to go through the Final interview call dates as per the list of participating colleges. Only those students who pass the exam and beat the cutoff will get admission.
