Students demand cancelling of offline Kerala Nursing Exam 2021
Two B.Sc Nursing students have filed a plea in Kerala High Court for the cancellation of the offline Kerala Nursing Exam 2021.
The students have challenged the decision of the Kerala University of Health Sciences to conduct offline exams due to the Covid-19 pandemic crisis in Kerala.
When other parts of the country experienced a downward trend in cases, Kerala reported more fresh cases of Covid-19 compared to other states. Amid such a condition, the exams are scheduled to begin on August 4, 2021. University has made all the preparations for conducting the exams. However, the plea says that the university has not considered the current Covid 19 scenario and simply proceeded with conducting the exams.
There are serious allegations on the university, as per the plea many students came to the hostels for giving exams and got infected with the Covid 19 and many students were not even permitted to undergo medical treatment. The plea also highlighted that several students have not been administered the vaccine doses yet.
A Bench of Justice Anu Sivaraman will hear this matter in court.
