Anna University has notified applicants to get their names rectified in case of errors while filling the TANCET application form. No changes will be made after the issuance of TANCET hall tickets.

Change Name Spelling in TANCET Application Form

TANCET 2022 registration window closed on April 23. As many as 36,775 candidates applied for the exam. The status checking facility was initially available until April 26. However, Anna University is yet to notify the closing date of checking the TANCET application status. Candidates who find errors in their names while checking the status can get the same rectified. In case of spelling errors in the name of the applicant, admit card will be issued with an incorrect name which may lead to denial of entry to the exam hall.

How to Modify the Names for TANCET Exam?

Anna University has notified the students to get their incorrectly furnished names rectified before the issuance of the TANCET hall tickets. Candidates need to send an email to the authorities along with the proof of their name spelling. Candidates can attach any government-approved ID card displaying the correct spelling of their name. The email shall be sent to the authorities before issuance of the hall ticket, that is before May 2.

TANCET hall ticket mentions multiple information including the name of the candidate, hall ticket number, and test-related details such as the centre address, duration, reporting time, course name, etc. Officials at the exam centre shall verify all the details with their records. Additionally, the details will be confirmed from the government-approved ID proof to be carried out on the examination day. Any mismatch of the name on the admit card and the ID proof will lead to denial of entry to the exam hall.
