UGC directs HEIs to contact CSC SPOC to avail ICT services

For the integration of the various services being provided by Universities and Colleges with the Digital Sewa Portal of CSC, UGC has asked HEIs to contact the CSC SPOC.

With an objective to set up at least one Common Services Centers (CSCs) in every Gram Panchayat across the country and promote rural enterprises enabled through an integrated ICT platform, the higher education regulator UGC has requested the HEIs to contact the CSC SPOC in their respective state for availing their ICT services.

“The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has enabled the establishment of 3.75 lakhs CSCs in all Gram Panchayats of the country for digital delivery of government services to the citizens within their vicinity under the Digital India Programme.,” the UGC stated in official notification.

“At present, these CSCs through their wide network in the country are also delivering their services in some Universities across the country and providing services like admission form filling, certificates requests, fee payment, admit card downloads and other services like preparation of various courses, online admission management system, etc. List of Universities already integrated with CSCs ecosystem along with State wise network of CSCs SPOC is enclosed for ready reference,” the notification added.

For any further clarification, the HEIs are also requested to coordinate with Shri Sarthik Sachdeva, Vice President, CSC SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) at sarthik.sachdeva@csc.gov.in .
