UGC NET Result 2021 to be Released Soon through Normalisation of Scores; check details
UGC NET result 2021 is likely to be declared soon. NTA will announce the results after the normalisation of scores. The provisional UGC NET answer key 2021 has been released already.
National Testing Agency (NTA) is soon going to announce the results of the merged UGC NET December 2020 and June 2021 cycles. The UGC NET result 2021 will be announced after the normalisation of scores. The NTA follows the ‘Normalization procedure based on Percentile Score’ to determine the UGC NET results.
The UGC NET 2021 exam was conducted on different days and shifts from November 20, 2021, to January 5, 2022. Candidates were given different sets of UGC NET question papers in every session. The difficulty level of question papers may vary for different sessions.
Though the NTA ensures to maintain the same difficulty level of the questions, it is possible that some candidates end up attempting tougher questions in some sessions. In order to ensure fairness in the exam, the NTA adopts normalisation of scores to deal with the variations in the question papers.
To normalise the scores of candidates, the NTA uses the Percentile Scores, which is calculated based on the relative performance of all candidates who appeared for the exam. During the calculation, the scores obtained by candidates in a particular session are converted into a range of 100 to 0.
The percentile score is the UGC NET normalised score and is used during the result calculation.
When will the UGC NET result 2021 release?
It is likely that the UGC NET result will be announced by the end of February 2022. The UGC NET cutoff 2021 will also be released along with the result. As of now, the NTA has released the provisional UGC NET answer key 2021. The final answer key will be released soon.
