WBPSC WBCS 2022 notification was released on February 27. The applications will start from March 3. Read further for details.

WBCS 2022 Application commences on March 3

WBPSC WBSC 2022 notification was released on February 27. West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) will open the West Bengal Civil Service (WBCS) application 2022 from March 3. The last date to apply for the WBCS 2022 exam will be March 24. The candidates can submit the application fee offline by March 25. WBCS will notify the number of vacancies later. The Commission will conduct the WBSC 2022 prelims exam in May 2022. The exam dates will also be released later.

WBCS 2022 Age Limit

The notification specifically mentioned the cutoff dates for calculating the age of the candidates. The age will be counted from January 1, 2022. As per the notification, the candidates must have attained 21 years of age and must not be more than 36 years of age.

For Group A and C Services - The candidates must be born not earlier than January 2, 1986, and not later than January 1, 2001.

For Group B Service (West Bengal Police Service) – The candidates must not be below 20 years of age and not over 36 years of age. The candidates must be born not earlier than January 2, 1986, and not later than January 1, 2002. Those candidates whose date of birth lies between the 1st January 2001 & the 1st January 2002 [i.e. whose age is between 20 & 21 years as of 01.01.2022] may apply for Group B only.]

Educational Qualification

The candidate must hold a graduation degree from a recognised university.
The candidate must know reading, writing and speaking Bengali. But it is not required for the candidates to have Nepali as their native language.

WBCS 2022 Application Fee

WBCS 2022 application will start on March 3. The candidates can apply online only and the application fee for the exam is INR 210.
SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) having a physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee.
