UP Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2020: District-wise merit list released; check details here

The Basic Education Board in UP has released the district-wise list of candidates who have qualified assistant teachers’ recruitment exam held to recruit 69,000 assistant teachers in government-run primary schools in the state.

Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) has released the District-wise list of candidates who have cleared the assistant teachers' recruitment exam which was held to recruit 69,000 assistant teachers in government-run primary schools. 

The UP Teachers' Merit list carries the list of candidates who have been selected for recruitment out of the total 1,46,060 passed candidates who have qualified the exam. The Final Merit List contains names of 67,867 candidates out of the total 69,000 vacancies.

The rest of 1,133 seats have been left vacant as they were reserved for Schedule Tribe Category candidates and they have failed to qualify the final process.

The students who have been selected need to appear for online counselling which has been scheduled to be conducted from June 3, 2020, to June 6, 2020. The merit list has been released after proper scrutiny of the applications received from May 27 to May 31, 2020.

On May 12, 2020, the UP Board had released the UP Teacher Result 2019 in which 1,46,060 candidates were declared as passed. The Board had also released the revised answer keys of the exam at atrexam.upsdc.gov.in.

A total of 4,09,530 candidates had appeared for the exam on January 6, 2020, to get recruited as an assistant teacher in the Uttar Pradesh schools.
