Candidates applying to a MSc course in IIT Patna must fulfil the required eligibility criteria. Thus, aspirant must hold a valid bachelor's degree in a relevant stream for at least two years (four semesters) and a minimum aggregate between 55% and 80% or 5.5 CGPA out of 10.

For MSc cognitive science/economic courses, the accepted degrees are BA/BSc/BCom/BTech/BE/BStat/BMath or equivalent. The total course fee for MSc course is around INR 60,000.

Candidates need to complete Class 12 to apply for UG programmes. A minimum of graduation is required to apply for PG programmes.
