No, RWTH Aachen University does not really ask for a GMAT or a GRE score for most of the master's courses available here. This university focuses mostly on the factors given below for a successful application to RWTH Aachen. 

Take a look at them below - 

  • A good GPA 
  • Curriculum fit 
  • German or English language proficiency 
  • A good GRE score for very competitive Engineering fields (Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science).

Yes, the QS World ranks RWTH Aachen. And it is quite an influential ranking bodies which are considered in the whole world. 

According to QS rankings, LMU Munich has ranked at #58 in 2026 and #59 in 2025. Some of the top 50 ranked courses for Biological Sciences, Communication and Media Studies, Law and Legal Studies, and Medicine.

As per Times Higher Education in 2026 is ranked really well in the world in many factors. The RWTH rankings is #92 by Times Higher Education World Universities Rankings.

RWTH AACHEN is ranked among top 10 for courses Arts and Humanities, Engineering, Law, Business and Economics, Psychology.

There is no tuition fee at RWTH Aachen. But there is an exception to courses from RWTH Aachen. Each student has pay EUR 100 for semester ticket. For the cost of living, students are expect to have EUR 1100 per month or EUR 13,200 per year

Yes, RWTH Aachen may issue a conditional admission letter to Indian students. This happens in the cases mentioned below - 

  • Submission  of the required coursework is missing for master's programs (some require Math and Science in previous studies)
  • Missing documents like LORs, transcripts or a statement of purpose

These conditional offers may be valid for 1 to 1.5 years. Applicants should make sure that they fulfill these RWTH admission requirements.
