AAT (Architecture Aptitude Test) is an entrance exam for admission to IIT-Kharagpur and IIT-Roorkee. Candidates desiring to join the B.Arch programme available at both these IITs must appear in AAT. Only those candidates who have qualified in JEE Advanced are eligible to appear in AAT in 2019. The Joint Implementation Committee of JEE Advanced 2019 will decide the cut-off marks for passing AAT. Candidates securing marks above the cut-off will be declared PASS in the test. There is no separate ranking in the AAT. There is no separate cut-off for students of any category. JEE Mains paper 1 and paper 2 are different. For architecture you have to score good in paper 2 only. You can go for AAT but give your best in JEE advance so that you can get IIT or else you have to go for NIT.

Hi,
Yes, you can appear for AAT even if you have not cleared Paper 1. JEE Mains paper 2 is for Architecture, JEE Mains paper 1 has nothing to do with Architecture. So if you have cleared JEE Mains paper 1 you can definitely appear for AAT which is again an Architecture only exam.

Hi,
AAT does not consider NATA 2019 exams for Architecture. You can give your JEE Mains paper 2 exam meant for architecture/design entrance only for consideration in AAT.

They consider best of two. So, if you qualify any of one, then you are eligible for JEE advance.
