Jai Narayan University does not accept any entrance examinations for BCom courses. Instead, admission to BCom courses is based on merit in the last qualifying exam and counselling at the university level. Candidates must also have passed Class 12 from a recognised board of education.

To be considered for the MCom programme, the candidate must meet the required course-specific eligibility criteria. They must have cleared their three years bachelor's degree or its equivalent with 50% aggregate from any authorised university. The selection of the candidate is done on the basis of the score in the last qualifying exam, followed by the PI round. Yes, with a 12th-class degree in Computer Application under the Arts stream, one is qualified for B.Com (Accounting and Finance). The minimum eligibility criteria for B.Com programs allow students from various streams, including Arts; provided they have a minimum passing grade in their 12th examinations, joining arts stream students is not a problem. However, some institutions can prescribe subjects studied in 12th; Accountancy or Mathematics, for example, can be expected by some institutions. The prospective student is therefore advised to check the eligibility criteria as enlisted by the University or College of their choice.

One needs to appear for the Class 10 examination from a recognised board to be eligible for admission in the 11th Commerce stream. Filling the application form from the desired school or college for the admission is generally done. Minimum percentage for admissions to some institutions may be required in Class 10, however, the same varies with the school. After having submitted this form, dependent on school policy, candidates may have to complete an interview course or take an entrance examination. You will choose your subjects, Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy, etc., under Commerce after admission.
