Hi Susmitha,
To become an IAS officer you have to appear in Civil Service Exam.
The Civil Service Examination is organized by UPSC every year to recruit candidate for IAS, IPS etc.
Academic Qualification:
The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in any field from a well known college or university.
Candidates who have appeared at an examination the passing of which would render them educationally qualified for the Commission's examination but have not been informed of the results as also the candidates who intend to appear at such a qualifying examination will also be eligible for admission to the Preliminary Examination.

Hi Ram,
Both BBA and B.Com are different courses.You can opt for any one of them depending on your interest and grades.
To give you a general idea:
1. BBA is a management oriented course.The core subjects include business studies,economics, marketing,human resources, operations,financial management,business communication,organization behavior,business statistics etc.
2.B.Com is a commerce oriented stream.The subjects include financial accounting,maths & statistics,banking & finance,corporate accounting,corporate law,advanced accounting,auditing, taxation etc.

There are huge number of job opportunities in Commerce field as India is developing economically at faster rate.

I feel you should focus more on gaining experience with large corporate houses instead of package in the initial phase of your career. Once you get good knowledge with hands-on experience, higher salary will be the by-product.
