For admission to the VMOU MCom programme, students must meet the eligibility criteria set by the university. As per eligibility criteria, students who have a valid UG degree in commerce or management from a recognised university are eligible to apply for MCom.

The selection of students for the programme is done based on their performance in the last qualifying exam. Moreover, all interested candidates are required to fill out an online application form. Lastly, candidates who receive admission offers must make the payment of the Vardhman Mahaveer Open University MCom fees to secure admission.

VMOU offers an MCom programme in distance mode. Pursuing this programme helps students cultivate many vital skills, such as communication skills, organisation, and planning skills.

MCom at VMOU is offered in distance mode. Students officially pursuing the programme are required to appear in the annual examinations. For the MCom programme, the institute conducts examinations via offline and online modes. The stuents are given the option to choose the mode that is most convenient for them. The VMOU MCom application form can be filled out online. While filling out the form, students are required to upload scanned copies of certain documents. Below are the required documents:

• Class 10 and 12 marksheets
• UG degree
• UG marksheets
• School leaving certificate/transfer certificate
• Migration certificate
• Income certificate (applicable for candidates seeking admission via EWS category)
• Caste certificate (if required)

Once the VMOU application window is closed, the institute's admission committee commences the screening process. All the MCom applicants who satisfy the basic eligibility criteria are offered admissions. The institute also releases a merit list containing the names of the selected students. The VMOU MCom curriculum is divided into a semester pattern. In the first semester, students study only two courses.
