One can say that the career prospects of a B.Com graduate would be better than that of a B.A. Or B.Sc. Graduate. However, that is not the case, as the competition, you would face after graduating B.Com would be comparatively higher than the other two degrees.

Yes you can change your subjects after your class 12. After class 12, you're left with several options to pursue your career. Now, you can take whichever stream you want. For example, if you're from Science stream, after class 12 you can opt for commerce or arts etc. Easily.

I would advise you to go for B.Com(Hons). The syllabus of B.Com(Hons) is quite advanced in comparison of simple B.Com(pass). Even if you do B.Com(Hons) from a slightly less better college, you will have more exposure and knowledge comapred to B.Com(pass) students. Also when you apply for higher studies, generally 5% marks of B.Com(pass) students are deducted to bring B.Com(hons) students and B.com(pass) students at equal footing.
Culture of college does matter but there is no such B.Com(pass) course in top colleges like SRCC, Hans Raj, LSR and Hindu.
