Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks in all subjects. AIT offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Admission into these courses will be through entrance exams. For BE the accepted exams are CET and COMEDK, for MTech, GATE, KPGCET and for MBA, MAT and KMAT.

The college Acharya Institute of Technology Bangalore enjoys affiliation with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). There is not any freedom or autonomous status.
The institution entirely runs under this university's laws and regulations. It provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and all the programs' curriculums and degrees are connected with VTU's control. Thus, it doesn't possess the autonomy to set up its own courses or give a degree.

Tuition fee for M.Tech courses at R.V. College of Engineering ranges from INR 2 Lacs to INR 14 Lacs and tuition fee for M.Tech at Acharya Institute of Technology ranges from INR 2 Lacs to INR 2.2 lakh. Tuition fees of AIT is more affordable than R.V.C.E. Hence, Acharya Institute of Technology is more affordable. Fee structure can be only one component that candidates consider while comparing these colleges but several factors can be taken into account while choosing best college, such as placement packages, seats, ranking of that particular institute, affiliation, accreditation, etc.
