Lateral entry into 2nd year of engineering after diploma is normally restricted to students of that state only. Of course one needs to score good marks in Diploma to get a desired college.

If I had to choose between the two of the colleges I would go for MVJ College of Engineering because of the fact that it supports:
Better infrastructure, with more greenery and Library and hostels enough to accommodate all it students.
The faculty for various departments in MVJ College of Engineering is certainly a lot better than Amrita Institute of Technology Bangalore.

Now I would list the advantages of taking admission in both the colleges which would help you to decide better
Acharya Institute of Technology, Bangalore has better infrastructure in comparison to SJBIT College, Bangalore and is well connected by roads and local trains being situated in the heart of the city.

But instead of opting for Aeronautical Engineering, I would suggest you go for CSE from AIT Bangalore.
AIT is ranked 63rd in Indian Engineering college Ranking of "Outlook India". On the other hand, MVJCE stands nowhere in top 100.
AIT Bangalore has huge campus of 120 acres whereas MVJCE has a campus of just 15 acres.
