In order to secure admission to Agriculture Engineering courses at popular colleges in India, you must meet the minimum eligibility requirements. For UG-level courses, you must secure at least 50 to 60% marks in Class 12 in the PCM/PCMB subjects. For reserved category candidates, the marks eligibility requirement is usually relaxed by 5%. Further, you have to appear for the entrance exams. You must secure a good rank in the same as it serves as the final call for admission.
After you successfully secure a decent rank in the exam, you will have to appear for the counselling process where you will be allotted a seat according to your rank

The course duration of Agricultural Engineering courses varies depending the course level. For UG-level Agricultural Engineering courses, the duration in India is 4 years in general. Further, for PG-level courses, the duration is 2 years. If you want to enter the work field at the earliest, you also have the option of going for a diploma in Agricultural Engineering right after completing your Class 10, which is 3 years long.
Moreover, a PhD course in Agriculture Engineering can be 3 years to 6 years long, depending on your research topic and the college from where you are pursuing the course.
