Yes, of course the practical is a must. For admission in University of Agriculture Sciences, you have to clear the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Fulfillment of eligibility criteria is a must for the application for entrance. After that candidates meeting the cutoff have to appear for KCET counselling, conducted by KEA and select UAS Bangalore.

Last year, the ICAR cutoff was 430 for B.Sc Agriculture Hons. at College of Agriculture, Hassan, and the cutoff rank was 680.

If you are thinking to choose your career in agriculture then I suggest you to choose only Chandigarh University. Chandigarh University is top Most Ranked among private university in India and is also NACC A+ affiliated. This University is also good in terms of placements, academics sports, events etc. A farmland is there to learn about practical implications in agriculture.

Yes, there are placements in this college. Nearly 75 companies visited the campus for providing job opportunities and internships to students with the highest package of 14 LPA and median package of 4.25 LPA. Average package varied between 5-6 LPA.

Eligibility criteria of MCA is BCA or B.Sc. In any subject but you should have studied Maths upto 12th. So you can either go for MCA after B.Sc. Agriculture. No need of taking BCA aftet B.Sc. Agriculture to get a seat in MCA also it's tine consuming. For getting admission in B.Sc. Agriculture you could either apply by entrance exam luke ICAR, NEET or by direct merit mark.
