The fact that vouches for LPUs credibility in agriculture is that Lovely Professional University is the first private university to be accredited by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. As far as LPU's agriculture programme is designed with a target of the holistic development of students. It includes disciplines like Agronomy, Horticulture Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Economics, Extension, etc. LPU's School of Agriculture offers an up-to-date curriculum designed to suit the aspirations of agricultural industries as well as major research and development sectors. The laboratories of the School are world-class. The dedicated faculty gives the students hands-on training experience by assigning live projects (Agricultural work) in university agricultural research farms and experiential learning on different agricultural units. IThe major emphasis of this is to get the students acquainted with knowledge and hands-on experiences in the above-mentioned discipline and apply that knowledge to high-value agricultural production in a sustainable manner. Students are engaged towards evergreen agriculture, keeping in view the RAWE to build interpersonal skills. The students are exposed to Commercial farms to get know-how that creates an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. Emphasis on case studies and interpersonal-based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgement by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios are given. The highest package offered was 19.25 LPA. LPU holds a stellar record in placements as big brands like VLCC Healthcare Ltd. , Ankur Seeds, HDFC, Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. , Ebro India Pvt. Ltd.

Keeping aside ABM, there is a general difference between PGDM and MBA. PGDM is provided by an independent college affiliated to AICTE and not to any university. MBA is provided by those colleges which are affiliated to a university. For example, FMS in Delhi provides MBA because it is affiliated to Delhi University and IMT in Ghaziabad provides PGDM as it is an independent college without any affiliation. Moreover, PGDM is a Diploma while MBA is a degree. However, there is not much difference in the course curriculum between the two. Also, if a PGDM providing college is approved by AIU as well apart from AICTE accreditation, PGDM is considered to be equivalent to MBA. Both ABM and MBA in agribusiness management are same, it's just the degree difference offered by different colleges.
