No, qualification in NET exam is not mandatotory for a student to pursue PhD in sabarmati university . if student completed M.Sc or mphil with more than 55% marks he/she is eligible to do addmission in PhD . student with NET qualified can also do addmission on the basis of NET rank .

The minimum eligibility required for the BCom program at Sabarmati University, Ahmedabad is as follows:
Applicants should have completed 10+2 education from a recognized board, such as CBSE or equivalent.
For the Bachelor of Commerce program, applicants should have completed 10+2 in the Commerce stream.

There are few colleges in Vadodara and Ahmedabad that offer B.Tech in Chemical Engineering as a part-time/work-integrated programme like Sardar Patel University, Gujarat Technological University, and Birla Vishwakarma Mahavidyalaya.
