To be eligible for the MS at Ahmedabad University, students must have met the course-specific eligibility criteria. They must have passed Class 10 and Class 12 or a Diploma and a bachelor's degree to apply. Final-year students graduating in 2025 are also eligible to apply. Further, candidates must also possess the relevant documents required to prove their eligibility at the time of admission. The selection of the candidates is based on the candidates performance in the accepted entrance exam, which is followed by the PI round.

Admission to Ahmedabad University BTech course is entrance-based. Students must pass the minimum eligibility criteria in order to get admission in the first place. Those who are willing to get admission must qualify for either JEE Main at the All India level or GUJCET at the state level. The university allocates 50% of seats to the JEE Main qualifiers through group counselling and the remaining 50% of seats are allocated through ACPC based on GUJCET scores to students belonging to the Gujarat domicile.
