Following are the steps that you have to accomplish to get admission in Ahmedabad University:
For M.Tech course, a candidate will be admitted on the basis of his performance in PGCET/GATE (whichever is applicable). The candidate shall have passed BE/B.Tech or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST/SEBC candidates) in the qualifying exam for ME/ M.Tech courses. Before applying online, the candidate shall have to procure PIN cover by paying INR 1000/- (non-refundable) per discipline in cash only from the designated branches of Dena Bank. After online registration, it is mandatory for all candidates to submit print-out of registration form and self-attested photo copies of the required documents at nearby Help Centre and get Acknowledgement slip cum Hall Ticket for PGCET. All the candidate shall have to bring this Acknowledgement slip Cum Hall Ticket for PGCET at the time of test else he shall not be allowed to appear in the test. Both GATE and Non-GATE candidates shall have to register online. However, GATE qualified candidates have not to appear in PGCET. After admitting GATE qualified candidates having valid GATE qualifying score, the vacant seats, if any will be filled as per merit secured in PGCET. Candidates will be selected on taking into account performance in together- Entrance Test Performance in, Group Discussion, Personal Interview, Work Experience and Academic Performance. The candidate must hold a Bachelors Degree, or an equivalent qualification recognised with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) or equivalent CGPA. The Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
