 To apply for an MSc course, the aspirant shall have a Bachelor's degree in Science with a relevant subject (mandatory) from a recognised university. For applied chemistry, a BSc degree in applied chemistry, BSc in Applied Mathematics, and applied physics for the MSc Applied Mathematics and MSc Applied Physics specialisations.

The university offers BTech under six specialisations. The offered specialisations are as namely Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical & Automation Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence.

Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria can apply. The eligible students can visit the official website (amity.edu) and submit a duly filled application form online. Candidates who have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 55% aggregate in PCB or PCM are eligible to take admission. In addition, the students with 80% and above aggregate in Class 12 (CBSE/ISC/State-Boards) are exempted from the selection process. Further, depending upon the BTech specialisation, the candidate should have studied particular subjects in class 12, such as Physics, Chemistry, and Maths (PCM) or Biology (PCB). The aspirants of the MBA programme are required to visit the official website (amity.edu) and submit a duly filled application form online along with all the required documents and the application fee. The application fee for MBA at Amity Kolkata is INR 1,500 (non-refundable), payable online through credit card, debit card, or Demand Draft (DD).

The basic difference between sponsored and non sponsored categories offers a high merit admission to students whereas latter involves relatively lower merit with high fees. The admission criteria and selection process for admission under both categories also differs.

Amity University Kolkata offers merit-based admission to most of the UG courses. For courses like BTech and BArch, admission is entrance exam-based. Hence, JEE Main/ Amity JEE exam scores are acceptable for admission to BTech programmes and NATA for BArch. However, the final selection of the students is based on merit/ entrance exam scores followed by an English Language Test and GDPI.

The application fee for various UG and PG courses offered at Amity University Kolkata is INR 1,100. The application fee is payable online via a debit/ credit card or net banking. Only after the submission of the fee, an application is successfully submitted. Candidates must also keep the fee submission receipt copy.
