Established in 2015, the Amity Institute of Behavioral and Applied Sciences (AIBAS) within Amity University Mumbai operates with the mission to cultivate proficient human resources in sectors necessitating an understanding of behavioral dynamics and interventions. The institution adopts an effective pedagogical approach within the core curriculum, seamlessly integrating training, field exposure, observations, and research to foster a comprehensive learning environment. Notably, Amity University Mumbai holds the distinction of being the first educational establishment in Maharashtra to offer the MPhil Clinical Psychology program, duly sanctioned by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). The RCI, functioning as a statutory body under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Department of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangan), originated as a registered society in 1986. Subsequently, in September 1992, the RCI Act was endorsed by Parliament, formalizing its status as a Statutory Body on June 22nd, 1993.

With regard to placements, graduates of AIBAS find positions in various companies, hospitals, and institutions as psychology professionals.
