Admission to Amrita University BTech courses is through JEE Main and Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering (AEEE). Candidates with a valid score in either of the examination can apply. In addition, it is also necessary that the aspirants meet the minimum eligibility requirements for this course.Admission will be based on performance in the written test and personal interview. Both the written exam and the interview are usually conducted on the same day and the results are usually announced within a month time.

Admission via AEEE is given in BTech courses offered at Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham campuses at Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, and Nagercoil (new from 2024). Amrita School of Engineering (ASE) cutoff is the minimum AEEE ranks that candidates need to secure for admission to undergraduate engineering courses (BTech) offered at the institute. AEEE cutoffs for ASE will be released by the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham on its official website.
