The salary for a beginner in the animation and VFX industry in India depends on the role and experience, and can range from INR 2.5 to 5.5 Lacs per year: 
  • Entry-level
    An animator can expect to earn INR 2.5 to 4 Lacs per year, while a VFX artist can earn INR 3 to 5 Lacs per year. 
  • Mid-level
    An animator can expect to earn INR 4 to 7 Lacs per year, while a VFX artist can earn INR 5 to 8 Lacs per year.

Hi, yes you can surely go for a BSc in Animation, but the eligibility requirements vary from college to college. Students can check the below points to know the common selection criteria:

  • Generally,  students who have cleared their 10+2 with passing marks in any stream  (Science/Science/Arts) can pursue BSc in Animation. Some colleges also ask for minimum marks required for admission. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Film, TV and Animation Studies does not accepts CAT score. The college conducts an admission test including various sections for admission to Diploma courses.
