The basic eligibility criteria is:
Candidates who have cleared their class 12th examination are eligible to appear in this exam. He/she must have passed class 12th with at least 60% marks with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Candidates having 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognised by Central/State Government with 50% aggregate marks with Mathematics or international baccalaureate Diploma passed/appearing after 10 years of Schooling with 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination are eligible to apply. From this year, Tamil Nadu has decided to go away from CET and admit students to engineering based on marks obtained in 12th. Due to this it's almost impossible to predict how Dynamics of marks of12th plays out. But still I guess if you are amongst top 5000, you should get desired branch and college.
